that is not exact but pretty darn close BUT Hayley sings a line I do not recognize and I scoured the net, the line ending with what sounds like saquiné which would be hope. she’s got me there.

  7. I can not listen to the song :(

  8. You don’t say why, there are now 2 links up, surely one will work. I just added you to my blogroll by the way, your group on BC is the best.

  9. I can hear it and see the video just fine, although I don’t understand it. It’s a very beautiful tune, and she is a great singer.

For some reason, the Gigli’s Handel performance reminded me of churches. Must have been the organ.

  10. Hey B0bbyG I wrote the translation for Sulz above it’s the Agnus Dei that is a hymn

Gigli, Handel wrote loads of religious stuff like Messiah for instance but this piece is taken from his opera Serse which was a load of old rubbish and failed miserably but this song caught on as a recital piece and indeed is beautiful for tune, but the words I deliberately held back because it’s an ode to a tree of all things, you would need to understand that it is a sacred tree to xerse [Serse] the Babylonian emperor. Such a beautiful tune and sung beautifully here by Gigli-here is what he is singing
